*Students of Alpine Public School learned various life saving skills* :
The fire mock drill at Alpine Public School, Nalagarh, children were taught the tricks of dealing with fire.
In Alpine Public School, Nalagarh, the fire department along with Aranya Eco Club, National Service Scheme, made the students of classes IX to XII aware of the method of extinguishing fire. Under the supervision of school principal Shri Harpreet Singh, Assistant Fire Officer Shri Prem Kumar and Senior Fireman Shri Radhey Shyam taught the students in detail about the types of fire and how to extinguish it in case of fire, what are the types of gases, how can which type of fire be extinguished with which type of equipment, how can safe rescue be done, etc. A fire safety mock drill was organized in the school for this. In the fire mock drill, school children were given information about how to extinguish the gas cylinder in the house in the right way without panicking in case of fire. The Nalagarh fire department specifically told the children how to extinguish the cylinder in case of fire and how to protect others by staying safe. On this occasion, the children also saw the live demonstration by extinguishing the fire in the cylinder with their own hands. Assistant Fire Officer Mr. Prem Kumar and Senior Fire Man Mr. Radhey Shyam of Nalagarh Fire Brigade were present on the occasion. Besides this, the school's Principal Mr. Harpreet Singh, the school's Aaranya Eco Club members, National Service Scheme in-charge members and other teachers were also present. The school children involved in the mock drill said that they have received special information which they will share with others as well.
