Alpine Public School Nalagarh Shines in Athletics Competition Organized by Youth Welfare and Sports Department
Nalagarh: Students from Alpine Public School Nalagarh brought glory to their school by showcasing an outstanding performance in the athletics competition organized by the Youth Sports and Welfare Department, Solan District. The competition, held in Nalagarh, featured events for the age categories of 14, 16, and the general open category.
Around thirty students from Alpine Public School participated in this competition. Mohit from Class 12 and Harsimran from Class 8 clinched gold medals with their stellar performances. Silver medals were won by Divya Karan and Siddhant Thakur from Class 8, Pawanjeet from Class 11 (Non-Medical), Princi from Class 11 (Medical), and Jatin from Class 12 (Non-Medical). Bronze medals were secured by Virat from Class 7, Tarun from Class 10, and Dhriti from Class 11 (Non-Medical).
Students who secured first and second places in this competition have qualified for the state-level competition, which will be held in Dharamshala on June 22-23, 2024.
School Director Mrs. Prem Lata Joshi and Principal Mr. Harpreet Singh congratulated the winning students and the physical education department teachers. They extended their best wishes for an excellent performance in the state-level competition. Mrs. Joshi and Mr. Singh attributed the success to the students' hard work and indomitable courage, stating that Alpine School students actively participate in competitions related to various subjects, alongside excelling in academics. This not only brings pride to the school but also to their parents and whole Nalagarh town.
The selection of students for the state-level competition is a matter of pride for both the school and the families of the students. Their achievement will inspire other students to strive for excellence in similar competitions.
