Alpine School Nalagarh's "Aranya Eco" club members gave environmental message by cleaning water bodies.
In Alpine Public School Nalagarh, through Aranya Eco Club, activities were organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Harpreet Singh to promote life skills, self-esteem and self-confidence and to raise children beyond negative emotions like stress, fear and shame. He told that Eco Club's teacher members Smt. Poonam Devi, Smt. Ekta Dhiman, Smt. Meenakshi and 31 students participated in environmental activities and gave a message to the general public to promote cleanliness by cleaning the ponds of school campus, Dattowal, Tara Devi Temple, Hanuman Johri. The message given by the Eco Club was that the restoration of water bodies has a significant impact on ecology, aquatic life and community. Along with this, teachers and students collected plastic waste and gave it to the municipality. Through these activities, the students also learned about different types of aquatic animals. School Director Smt. Prem Lata Joshi and Principal Mr. Harpreet Singh said that in order to develop understanding about environmental protection among the students, work is being done to promote social awareness creating activities to connect the environmental protection program with the community through the platform of Eco Club.
