Alpine Students Excel in under 14  Athletics and Chess Tournament, Qualify for State-Level Competition

An Under 14 tournament of Athletics and Chess was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Kunihar from 15th to 19th October 2025, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of students from various schools across the region.

Among the shining performers, students of Alpine Public School, Nalagarh brought laurels to the institution with their remarkable achievements. Tanishq of Class IX won a silver medal in the Shotput event and has been selected for the State-Level Competition to be held at Dharamshala.

Adding to the pride, Dhananjoy  and Rigved of Class VIII displayed outstanding mental  skills in chess and secured gold medals in their respective events. Their stellar performances have earned them a spot at the State-Level Chess Competition as well.

All three talented athletes — Tanishq, Dhananjoy, and Rigved — have departed for a three-day preparatory camp at Kunihar, after which they will proceed to represent the district at the State-Level Meet in Dharamshala.

Vice Principal Mr. Harpreet Singh applauded the boys for their dedication and sportsmanship, stating, “Their hard work and discipline are truly commendable. They have made the entire Alpine fraternity proud.”

Physical Education Department in-charge Mr. Deepak Katoch expressed his happiness over the students’ consistent performance, saying, “These young athletes have set an inspiring example for others. Their determination and focus are key to their success.”

Principal Mrs. Bindu congratulated the students and remarked, “Alpine Public School believes in holistic education. Our students continue to excel not just academically but also in co-curricular activities, reflecting the school’s balanced approach.”

Director Mrs. Prem Joshi extended her best wishes, adding, “We are proud of our champions. Their success at the district level is just the beginning — we are confident they will bring laurels to the state as well.”

Alpine Public School once again proved its commitment to nurturing excellence, as its students step forward to represent the district at the State-Level Athletics Championship in Dharamshala.
